Don't Go Out Today
It's interesting to see how superstitous people can become in the most trivial things without them realizing it. And there are many that believe in it in terms of how it can foreshadow one's destiny. It can get disturbing too at times. Who knows what can happen right? I mean yeah, something could happen to me right now as I'm typing this.
...But alas it's just me, typing away, anxious about how people will think of this illustration. You see I'm a man of practical worries, not superstitous ones. (I hope) But enough chit chat, here's something that was spawned off the idea.

Tomorrow I'm going to have a presentation of my work at the Bowery Poetry Club for Village Life at 3pm. Come out if you can.

Interesting that a total stranger who has never read your blog before landed on this tonight by chance and this image is EXACTLY what I needed to see... Hmmm fate? Chance? Superstitious? I won't say what it all is that brought me here, but I can say that I love your work and I am happy to have discovered it. Amazing....
fantastik! i hear the arcade fire playing in the background.
awesome albert, I like each new piece better than the last
excellent show, albert. oh, now i see the 'sa.' it's much clearer closer up.
this is going to sound silly, but with one more stroke, the character could be 'ja' (sleep)!
look forward to seeing more.
nice illustration oppa. did you get mom's email? so i'm guessing that this is the "fantastik" piece mom was talking about. it's so funny when she starts making herself laugh with her own jokes that are poorly stated grammatically. hahaha
visual artist? as opposed to..non-visual? hehe. that is one ugly bird. good job albert.

jessica - thank you very much for the encouragement
nathan - if only it was arcade fire
josh - columbus crying...i loved it
sue - you're right, one more stroke it would be "ja." and that idea is all the more relevant to this piece
jeanette - she must have misspelled it because nathan intentionally misspelled it.
jk - thanks. and yes, vultures tend to be ugly.
real nice, real subtle. It's got a sophisticated composition.
actually, upon looking at this painting again...it captures all my emotion at this very moment. your title is very appropriate. lol.
