Grotesque
Hey everyone, the long interlude has officially ended. I have now successfully moved to New York City and currently residing in Brooklyn. It was great to explore the city, eat great food, meet artists and designers and to setup ample workspace to begin creating work. So to jumpstart that, here is a new illustration;

Scottish mythological/folklore creatures called the "Wizard Shackle." Apparently they're supposed to look like leeches that attack any living thing, including humans, that roam around the shallow waters.

I had a tough time dealing with inefficiencies for the past few days. I'm trying to figure out the best possible efficiency when it comes to my work. But anyway, here's the piece. Tell me what you guys think. (Because I don't know if I want to tell you what I think)

Woohoo! Finally, Albert strikes his brush against canvas and flames burst from the hairs!
wow. cool.
my thoughts?
morbid. those fly eating plants. aliens. are those eye balls or suctions? what time period is this. what's the title? or do illustrations not have titles. umm, hmm..what else...is this going to be some sort of series?
and,
why this drawing? horses and wizards and scottish leeches? hmm...you must be definitely onto something here...
k, done. good nite.

of albert's art. because he has to be popular to be an artist. because this world is so shallow that people have to be recognized to actually gain respect.
great work! :) Hows new york?

awesome,

Thanks for the comments guys.
Nathan - Yes, the flames have burned off all my brushes.
Anony - Morbid would be an interested word for it. I'm not sure how to describe the feeling myself. So therefore, it may be futile to ask why.
Tiffany - NYC is great. I love it here.
Drama - Thanks bro.
I like the B&W more actually. There's a sense of age and classicness to it. The color makes it modern, especially the green and red being kind of bright, which seems counter-intuitive to mythology/folklore (to me at least). But then again, I'm a big fan of the earthier tones you use in albertkim.com and will reject any deviation from my preconceived notions of how your artwork should look.
